CRESCO - The Cresco Swim Team had a great 2017 season led by head coach Alexis Reicks and assistant coaches Taylor Shelton and Josie Johnson.
“We had nine new swimmers join this year, giving us a grand total of 57 swimmers this season! We hope to see our returning swimmers and many more new faces next year,” Coach Reicks said.
“We had an amazing season again this year and won meets against Monona/Postville, Elkader/Strawberry Point, Sumner, West Union, Calmar, Manchester, and Waukon. In fact our only loss this season was to Decorah, for the second year in a row. Our Conference meet was held in Elkader this year and Cresco swam well the whole meet, allowing us to receive several medals and spots on the podium. We finished in second place out of nine teams at team Conference; the best finish Cresco has ever seen! We were only 81 points away from Decorah at first place!”
