Cadets compete well at Luther Track Invite

DECORAH - Competing in their second indoor meet of the year, the Crestwood girls’ track team turned in several solid performances at the Luther Indoor Invitational on Saturday, March 18. 
Two Cadet boys, Maurice Powell and Nathan Ahern, also competed well at Saturday’s meet. No team standings were recorded.
Powell nabbed first in the 200 meter dash in 24.25 seconds; third in the 55 meter dash in a time of 6.92 seconds; third in the long jump at 19 feet, 8 inches; and fourth in the 400 meters in 56.65.
Ahern was seventh in the 200 meters in 25.88 and fourth in the 1600 in 5:18.60.
 
Crestwood girls shine
Sophomore Lily Troendle captured first in the high jump at a height of 4 feet, 10 inches. Ava Johnson was third at 4-8.
Junior Kinze Shea won gold in the 1500 meters in a time of 5:22.05.
In the long jump, freshman Isabella Schlatter was second at 14-8.25.
The 4x200 meter relay team of Charley Curtis, Olivia Johnson, Troendle and Aubrey Mannery placed second in 1:53.35.
The 1600 sprint medley relay team of Troendle, Aubrey Mannery, Olivia Ollendick and Kinze Shea was third in 4:41.40.
Alexis Pankow placed third in the 3000 meters in 14:53.91.
Curtis placed fourth in the 55 meter dash in 7.83 and Mannery took fifth in 7.84. Tara Koshatka was fourth in the 55 meter hurdles in 9.95.
