Alan Vokaty wins TPD Football Contest

CRESCO -  Alan Vokaty of Cresco correctly picked 15 games to win week one of the Times Plain Dealer’s Football Contest for Sept. 6.

Shane Vokaty and Dean Shatek both picked 13 of 15 games, but Vokaty earned second place in a random drawing to break the tie. The tie-breaker game, Tampa Bay at Miami, was postponed on Sept. 6  because of the weather in Florida. Sept. 6 was the day after the TPD went to press last week so it was too late to select a different tie-breaker game.

For picking all 15 games correctly, Alan  Vokaty will receive $20 in Cresco Chamber Dollars, one free A&W/LJS Cresco Combo Meal plus his choice of either four Cresco Theatre tickets or a portable grill. 

For placing second, Shane Vokaty will receive a McAllister’s Gift Certificate good for one free buffet. Prize winners can stop by the TPD office at 214 North Elm in Cresco to pick up their prizes.
