LAKE TROPICANA, FLa - Adolph William Hayek, Jr. of Lake Tropicana, Fla. passed away on Nov. 20, 2018. He was born in Cresco, Iowa on June 20, 1944 to the late Adolph and Dolores (Hosting) Hayek.
He attended Notre Dame High School and Agriculture School in Waseca, Minn. He worked for the Department of Agriculture in Minneapolis and Washington, D.C.
He had a passion for gardening and growing fruit trees and plants; operating a farm of many animals and thoroughbreds.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He is survived by JoAnn Andera, Joe, Jerome, Julius, Joyce Kapler, Jaci Tipton, Jean, Jane Steffen and Julie Hayek.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers,: John, James and Jay; and sister, Janet.
Funeral services are planned for May with a private burial.
