A car collided with a van at the intersection of Pine Place and 4th Ave. W. at about 4 p.m. last Friday.
    A 17-year-old Crestwood student from Ridgeway was traveling southbound in a passenger car on Pine Place, and failed to yield the right of way to Ryan J. Kennedy of Cresco, who was heading east on 4th Ave. W.
    Kennedy’s van was hit broadside by the car, and sustained damage to the front fender and doors on the driver’s side of the vehicle. The front of the Ridgeway resident’s car was also damaged. Both vehicles sustained about $2,000 to $2,500 worth of damages.
    The Ridgeway resident said she did not see Kennedy’s van until just prior to impact.
    Neither of the drivers was injured in the accident. A back seat passenger in Kennedy’s van was transported to Regional Health Services of Howard County because of dizziness and feeling lightheaded.
