Sarah McGee donates books in apprecication for support

CRESCO - During December, Kessel Kids Childcare Center was having a book drive for gently-used books and games.
That was perfect timing for local resident Sarah McGee. She felt it was destiny, as she had already decided she was going to donate books to Kessel Kids.
From Dec. 7-14, she had a private Usborne Book party online to help donate new books and games to the center. She had decided to give back to her community for all the love and support shown to her over the year after she was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2022.
To introduce the book drive, McGee shared on social media, “So, having survived breast cancer this year, I was given a new perspective on life and decided to do Christmas a little differently this year.  I want to give back to this great community that has helped me through this tough year and my battle with cancer.
“I would like to honor all the people I know who have or are currently fighting cancer of any kind in my local community of Cresco, so I will be donating any books purchased from my order from my party to my local child care center.”
Donations poured in and McGee was able to donate over $200 worth of books and games to Kessel Kids.
She said, “Please continue to support and love every person in this community who is diagnosed with cancer and remember to Pay It Forward.”
