RAGBRAI™ informational meeting at Fairgrounds

CRESCO - In case you haven’t heard, RAGBRAI™ (Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa) will be coming through Howard County and staying overnight in Cresco on Thursday, July 27.

All this week, http://ragbrai.com will be announcing the pass-through towns on each leg of the race. Each morning look for the towns hosting riders before stopping overnight in Cresco on Thursday, and the towns riders will go through on Friday.

To learn more about what the Cresco committee plans on doing, a public meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 15 at 6:30 p.m. at the Featherlite Center, Fairgrounds, Cresco.

The Executive Committee, along with all committee chairs, will be at the meeting to give an overview of what has been discussed and decided thus far.

They will try to answer as many questions as they can or find the answers and get back to you.

The biggest need right now is volunteers. A list is being kept at Cresco Area Chamber of Commerce at 563-547-3434. Individuals can tell a staff member what he or she is capable of - being on a committee that meets once a week or once a month or perhaps that person can only work one day. The RAGBRAI™ committee isn’t picky. Members will take every ounce of help they can get!

Volunteering is a great way to network with others and give back to the community. If you are new to the town or area, come to the meeting
