A 2-year-old girl died after she was run over by a skid loader  on her family’s farm Wednesday.
    The Howard County 911 Dispatch received a call at 1:09 p.m. stating that Martina Verna Fox had been accidently run over. Her father, Nathan Fox, was backing up the skid loader when he ran over Martina.
    The accident took place in the family’s farm yard at 11939 Birch Avenue, located about one mile east of Riceville and about one and a half miles south of Hwy. 9.
    The Riceville Ambulance Service and the Howard County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene. The victim was transported to Regional Health Services of Howard County by Lindstrom Funeral Service.
    Martina was the daughter of Nathan and Ruth Fox.
