Pheasants Forever Banquet is sold-out event

CRESCO - Lots of fun was to be had at the Pheasant’s Forever Banquet! Delicious food was catered in and games and prizes were awarded all night!
The six hour event included a silent auction, a live auction, a poker game, a general raffle, a 4 gun raffle, card games, a banner raffle, an early bird drawing, and more! Auctioneers included Lyle and Dean Eastman, with ticket girls being Kayla Carroll, Taylor Kissinger, Ruby Erickson, Rachel Tweten, and Roxie Njus.
Items were auctioned off at no less than $150, the highest item, a mystery cooler,  selling for more than $4,000.
Thirteen new sponsors were honored at the banquet, and several scholarships were given out to students.
The Howard County Conservation Board recently had the opportunity to purchase an 80 +/- acre property west of Chester. As of now, over $400,000 has been donated or received in the form of grants for this aquisition. The Turkey River Chapter has pledged to donate $50,000 to the cause. All of the money raised at the banquet is to stay in the area and will be spent locally by the chapter.
