Krizan wins Valentine basket

Fredericksburg - Bernard Krizan made his wife, Sharon, a happy lady, when he shared his Valentine’s prize with her.
The couple, who lives south of Lawler, were excited to find out they won the Valentine’s basket. Bernard signed up for the prize at Polashek’s Locker in Protivin.
He was overwhelmed when the bouquet of flowers, box of chocolates, bottle of wine, gift certificate to The Place and Cresco Theatre movie tickets were delivered on Valentine’s Day. “It was my lucky day. We’ve been married 55 years, and this sure is a special Valentine’s Day for us!”
The Fort Bar & Grill was the winner of the dinner for two among the business sponsors.
Besides Polashek’s Locker, The Fort and The Place, others participating in the drawing included, A&W/Long John Silvers, Elm Street Gifts, Holstrom Jewelers, Plantpeddler, Sue-Z-Q’s, Studio 9 Gift Shop, McAllister Catering & Heritage Events Center, Fireman’s Inn, Billmyer Furniture & Flooring and Shopko Hometown-Cresco.
