Kosters inducted to 4-H Hall of Fame

Bill and Joan Kosters of Cresco were inducted into the 4-H Hall of Fame at the Iowa State Fair on Aug. 18, 2019.
Joan was a 4-H leader of the Flying Hoofs 4-H Club from 1987 to 2000. She led the club on many adventures like Camp Sunnyside fund-raising, parades, concession stands, trail rides and horse workout session at the Cresco Saddle Club Arena.
Three Flying Hoofs Club members' with the help of leader Joan, received the State Horse Project award.
Bill and Joan were teachers and encouraged all children to be their best. Following their retirement, both were still active in the fair and horse shows.
They are now supporting their grandchildren's involvement in equine events and cheering them on as they compete.
