Graduation numbers for N.D., Crestwood from 1961-2021

CRESCO - Sunday May 16 at 1 p.m. is Crestwood’s graduation. It is taking place at the gym in the high school. The Class Motto is “With every ending, there is a brand new beginning.” The Class flower is the rose and the color is royal blue.

Tuesday, May 11, a parade for graduates was held. Not being able to have a traditional graduation on the normal date (there was a ceremony on June 21, 2020), graduates created a parade through Cresco. It was such a hit, another was held in 2021.

Looking at this year’s graduation class of 83 students, Times Plain Dealer staff thought they would check out the number of graduates since the high schools in Howard County consolidated into Crestwood, in 1960, with the first graduating class being 1961.

During this same time, Notre Dame also had a parochial high school until the Class of 1989 graduated. 

The Crestwood graduating class with the lowest number of seniors was 2015, and the class with the most students was in 1980, with 223. Notre Dame’s largest class in the same time period was in 1972 and the smallest was in 1989.

When combining the two schools, the class of 1980 had the highest number of graduates at 258, and the lowest had 129, in 1989.
