A new administrator took the helms at Evans Memorial Home earlier this month. Richard Fox began his position on April 7.
Fox, who recently moved to Cresco from Emmetsburg, brings with him 16 years of experience in nursing home administration. He worked as administrator at Lakeside Lutheran Home, a 60-bed nursing home in Emmetsburg, for the past five and a half years. He also spent about 10 years as a nursing home administrator in Nora Springs.
Fox said he enjoys working in nursing home administration because it allows him to look out for the welfare of the elderly and make sure they are well cared for.
He said he is enjoying his position at Evans Memorial Home so far and looks forward to meeting more people in the community.
“Everyone is welcome to stop in anytime to visit us. I’d love to show them around,” Fox said.
Fox, originally from Estherville, and his wife, Arliss Fox, plan to buy a house in Cresco in the near future.
