Joe and Hattie Hauber will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Sunday, May 18 with a Mass of Thanksgiving at 8:30 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Church in Spillville. An open house will be held at the Inwood in Spillville from 2 to 5 p.m.
    Joe Hauber and Hattie Silhacek were married May 12, 1948 at St. Wenceslaus Church in Spillville by Msgr. John Chihak.
    They are the parents of five children: Larry of Decorah, Linda of Janesville, Tim of Des Moines, Tom of Decorah, and Randy of Urbandale. They have 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
    All friends and relatives are invited to share the day with them. No invitations are being sent and the couple requests no gifts.
